Seeking REGIONAL RISK MANAGER
Contributes to the Risk Management (RM) plan by identifying, analyzing, reducing risk for company and its insureds. The Risk Manager participates in the development and implementation of the RM program in assigned territory to individual and large group and healthcare facility insureds.
Education, Experience and Skills Required:
Bachelors or associate degree in nursing
Current License in nursing
3-5 years experience in the Risk Management or quality improvement or other healthcare related field
4-6 years experience in nursing
Formal presentation skills to small and large audiences
Experience dealing with physicians and/or other healthcare professionals
Experience with data analysis
Strong customer focus and team orientation
Ability to appropriately handle confidential or sensitive company information
Commitment to continuing industry and individual functional education
Strong decision making skills
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact and work effectively with employees at all levels within the organization
Ability to manage time, set priorities, and work independently; ability to organize, analyze, and interpret information
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Programs
Desired:
ARM and/or CPHRM certification
Insurance industry experience
Experience in medical malpractice arena
Masters degree in a healthcare or insurance related fields
